Terminal Preparation
Remove any oxidization from the terminal faces being carful in keeping the terminal surface flat
(In this case I am using some fine emery paper and a small block)
Should look like this......
Next remove any oxidization from the copper interconnection straps
(I used a block of wood with some fine find paper as shown)
Rod suggests using NOALOX anti-oxidant jointing compound on the contact surfaces - a good idea......
Compound applied on the freshly polished terminals and straps as shown above......
Use spring washers and flat washers like this.....
All terminal bolts and nuts tightened to 6 foot pounds (or 8 newton metres) using a torque wrench as shown......
